Turf Equipment Technician
The Equipment/Shop Manager oversees the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all motorized equipment used on the property. This role performs mechanical repairs, coordinates maintenance schedules, ensures equipment is ready for daily use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- performs overhauls and repairs on maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment.
- Lubricates and services all equipment, ensuring records of maintenance are maintained.
- Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and makes or directs routine adjustments and repairs.
- Inspects, changes, and repairs on all equipment.
- Supervises and supports fabrication, welding.
- Equipment is older needs checked on daily basis.
Adjusts and maintains cutting units on mowing equipment to ensure optimal turf performance.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, and reaches with arms.
- Frequently stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Occasionally sits, climbs, or balances.
- Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- May work in wet or humid conditions and extreme temperatures
- May be exposed to vibration, airborne particles, or fumes.
- Works regularly in outdoor weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts.
- Noise level may be loud.
- Shop with no A/C
- No Lift
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience Requirements
Would like someone with 2-3 year experience
Special Requirements
*Mow Fairways 2-3 times a week and other golf course related tasks if needed but making sure the equipment is ready is number one priority.
