Butterfield Country Club Job Description Position (Job Title): Equipment Manager
Reports to: Golf Course/Grounds Superintendent Duties and/or
Responsibilities: Area(s) of Club Operations/Activities: Primary area of responsibility is the management and maintenance of the Grounds Operations Department equipment inventory to extend the longest possible useful life of equipment, with lesser responsibilities in the maintenance and upkeep of golf course structures and other sports activities (maintenance buildings, garages, shelters, etc.) 1. Golf Course Equipment Management (specification, maintenance, management) 2. Golf Course Structure Maintenance (buildings, fences, bridges, etc.) 3. Other Sports Activities Maintenance (tennis, paddleball, skeet) 4. Assist in management of the Visual Improvement Program for quality control as it relates to equipment operation and maintenance 5. Assist in Special Projects Specific Accountabilities: Include all of the following: 1. Maintenance of the golf course equipment fleet according to manufacturers recommended routine maintenance schedules. 2. Maintenance of the golf course equipment fleet to a standard that delivers the finest possible playing conditions on the golf course. (Mower sharpening, mower adjustment, etc.) 3. Assists the Golf Course/Grounds Superintendent (GCS) in evaluating equipment for replacement or restoration. 4. Assists the GCS in the implementation of a safety and training program for departmental staff in the operation of equipment. 5. Assists the GCS in recommending policies and objectives for all of the activities indicated above. 6. Equipment parts inventory management. 7. Assists the GCS in evaluation of staff related to their safe and proficient use of equipment. 8. Supervise the safe and environmentally sound use, storage, and disposal of equipment related products (fuel, grease, solvents, etc.).
Other Job Positions Reporting to This One: As needed and directed by the Golf Course/Grounds Superintendent
Other Descriptive Information: The person occupying this position is recognized through his/her training and practical experience to be the facility authority in the area of golf course equipment, maintenance and management. The goal is to extend the useful life of equipment to its greatest length and to identify and evaluate emerging technology, tools, and equipment that may increase productivity on the golf course.
Salary range: $80,000 - $105,000 Benefits: 401K after 1 year with employer match, Insurance, PTO, dues to local education, uniforms. Position to be filled asap.
