Equipment/Shop Manager
Town & Country Golf Links is looking for an Equipment/Shop Manager. The equipment manager reports to the golf course superintendent and oversees the service and maintenance of the equipment fleet that is a mix of John Deere and Toro mowers. The equipment manager is also in charge of the service and maintenance of the golf cart fleet. The Equipment Manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for keeping a clean service area.
- Develops and preforms preventive maintenance on golf course equipment and carts
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with golf course equipment and carts
- Operates shop equipment such as shop lift, grinders, air compression tools, and welder
- Keeps detailed records of when equipment was serviced and when it's next due
- Knowledge and ability to grind reels, sharpen rotary blades, and set them up properly
- Ability to order and oversee parts inventory
- Help train staff on the safe and proper use of equipment
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean shop area
- Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma
Certification in small engine repair or other mechanical certifications preferred
Experience Requirements
3 or more years as a golf course mechanic
Experience with repairs and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines
Experience with reel grinding, rotary blade sharpening, and mower set-up
Experience with record keeping and inventory
Special Requirements
