Overview

Kestrel Ridge Golf Course is seeking a dedicated and skilled Golf Course Superintendent to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining the exceptional quality of our course. Reporting directly to the Director of Grounds, the Superintendent plays a key role in the daily management and long-term success of course operations.

This position oversees all aspects of course maintenance—including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, waterways, and cart paths—and is directly involved in mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise all turf maintenance activities, including scheduling, equipment use, and staff assignments.
  • Instruct and oversee equipment operators, ensuring proper use and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Supervise and manage pesticide and fertilizer applications, ensuring proper calibration, safety compliance, and documentation.
  • Lead and evaluate maintenance staff, including training, performance assessments, and enforcement of safety protocols.
  • Adjust work schedules and priorities based on daily course conditions and operational needs.
  • Oversee snow removal operations and assist with clubhouse grounds maintenance.
  • Collaborate on long-term planning and execution of course improvement projects.

Qualifications & Employment Standards

  • Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance, turf management, bunker maintenance, seeding, fertilization, pest control, and irrigation systems.
  • Proven ability to effectively schedule, lead, and supervise a team.
  • Valid driver’s license required; pesticide applicator certification or ability to obtain.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in all business practices.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift to 75 lbs.

Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 annually / Based on experience
