Equipment/Shop Manager

Sunnehanna Country Club is looking to hire an Equipment/Shop Manager. The Equipment Manager plays a key role in our success as a club and is a vital team member. This person reports to the golf course superintendent and/or the assistant golf course superintendent and will work with assistant mechanic to oversee, manage and perform the maintenance of all golf course equipment. This includes diagnosis and repair of equipment, preventative maintenance, mower sharpening, record keeping of parts/labor, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service. The equipment manager is responsible for safety checks on equiment  and for maintaining a clean service area.

Key Responsibilities

·      Equipment Maintenance: Repair, service and maintain all golf course equipment including Mowers, tractors, utility carts and other specialized machinery.

·      Preventive Care: Ensure all equipment is set up and prepared to accomplish daily tasks, ability to maintain and prioritize with a preventative maintenance program.

·      Repairs and Diagnostics: Expertly diagnose mechanical issues, conduct repairs, and perform adjustment with precision.

·      Basic Fabrication: Ability to do minor fabrication, think out of the box for solutions and supplies.

·      Budget and Inventory management: Manage and establish a budget, demonstrate cost-conscious decision making.

·      Equipment operation and safety compliance: Work with our management staff to train employees in safe operation of equipment and current safety standards.

·      Technology: Basic computer skills, record keeping, basic ability to use Excel and Word. 

·      Vendor Relationships: Establish and nurture good relationships with suppliers and service providers, parts procurement, and warranty work.
