Wykagyl Country Club, located just 20 minutes north of Manhattan in New Rochelle, NY, is a historic 18-hole private club with a long tradition of championship golf. The membership expects conditioning to be among the best in the Met Section, and the agronomy team is committed to delivering premier playing surfaces through progressive turf management practices.
Wykagyl Country Club is seeking a motivated Second Assistant Superintendent to join our agronomy team. This is a hands-on position at a high-level private facility, offering the opportunity to be involved in daily operations and long-term agronomic planning. The Second Assistant will work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Assistant Superintendents, and the management team while developing the skills necessary to advance in the turfgrass industry.
Educational Requirements
Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or a related field preferred
Experience Requirements
Prior experience working on a golf course
Previous leadership or supervisory experience on a maintenance team preferred
Special Requirements
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and keen attention to detail
Desire to grow within the turfgrass and golf course management profession
