Golf Course Superintendent
Wellington National Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance, operation, and overall condition of our golf course and practice facilities. Working closely with the owner, the Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of playability, aesthetics, and environmental stewardship throughout the property. Educational Requirements
Two- or four-year degree/certificate in agronomy, turfgrass management, or related field preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.
- Strong agronomic background with proven success managing warm-season.
- Must possess a Florida Restricted Use Pesticide Applicator License.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Special Requirements
- Direct and participate in all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic programs.
- Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance staff to ensure efficient and consistent course conditioning.
- Manage the care of bermudagrass fairways, Tifeagle greens, roughs, tees, and landscaping.
- Calibrate and apply fertilizers and pesticides safely and effectively.
- Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems and pumps.
- Prepare annual budgets and manage expenses responsibly.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with ownership and golf operations staff to meet course standards and goals.
