Sales Representative

Full-time

  • Sales & Account Management:
    • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the golf course market.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with golf course superintendents.
    • Maintain relationships with key vendor partners via ride-a-longs, focus groups and regional seminars.   
    • Attend all scheduled sales meetings, conferences, training seminars and local Superintendent Association meetings
    • Provide expert product knowledge and technical support to customers.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and trials.
    • Prepare and deliver professional presentations and proposals.
    • Negotiate contracts and close sales.
    • Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
  • Customer Service:
    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers on product usage and best practices.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and build brand loyalty.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a strong understanding of turfgrass science and agronomy.
    • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
    • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to customers on turf care programs.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Participate in industry trade shows and events.
    • Maintain accurate sales records and customer information in CRM system.
    • Prepare reports on sales activity and market trends.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience in the golf course industry (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of turfgrass science and agronomy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

$85,000 to $140,000 per year
