Turf Equipment Technician
Meadow Brook Club is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Head Equipment Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of a large and diverse golf course equipment inventory. This position is ideal for an individual who takes immense pride in their work, brings a positive attitude each day, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
While prior golf course equipment experience is preferred, we are not hiring on experience alone. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a drive to learn and develop their skillset, and a commitment to delivering the highest-quality playing conditions possible.
The Head Equipment Technician will work directly with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure all equipment is maintained at the highest standard and that daily golf course operations are supported with safe, reliable, and high-performing machinery. This role plays a key leadership position within the golf course maintenance operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a large inventory of golf course maintenance equipment
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and longevity

Collaborate closely with the Superintendent on:
- Purchasing and selling equipment
- Constructing and managing equipment maintenance budgets
- Identifying creative and efficient maintenance strategies
- Ensure all equipment is consistently prepared and operational for daily golf course maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional equipment facility
- Lead by example with professionalism, accountability, and teamwork

Experience Requirements
- Some mechanical experience preferred, ideally within the golf course or turf equipment industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Takes immense pride in workmanship and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Benefits
- Base compensation: $48–$58 per hour (commensurate with experience and skillset)
