2nd Assistant Superintendent
Shelter Harbor Golf Club is a Hurdzan-Fry design that features an 18-hole, par-71 championship course, a 9-hole par-3 course and a 20 acre practice facility. The course is spread out over 400+ acres of rugged, rocky terrain. The grass varieties at SHGC include: greens are Greenwich Velvet bentgrass on straight sand, bentgrass tees and fairways, fine fescue/bluegrass rough and fescue/bluestem native areas. 2nd Assistant's will be involved in all aspects of maintaining the golf course to the highest level. Particular areas of focus will be small crew management, plant protectant and fertilizer calibration and application, hand-watering, course set up, etc.
Educational Requirements
Preferably a Turfgrass Degree or Certificate

RI Pesticide License must be obtained within 3 months of hire
