Golf Course Superintendent
• Maintain all playing surfaces to high standards
• Develop and implement agronomic programs (fertility, pest/disease control, overseeding, aerification, cultural practices)
• Monitor soil, moisture, and plant health for optimal conditions on greens, tees, fairways, and rough
• Oversee irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, scheduling, and repairs
• Recruit, train, and supervise the maintenance team; promote safety and accountability
• Manage daily and weekly task scheduling to ensure efficiency and course conditioning
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and ensure safe, proper equipment operation
• Oversee chemical storage, fuel systems, and maintenance facility standards
• Assist in preparing and managing the annual agronomy budget
• Maintain accurate records of pesticide applications, fertilizer usage, water management, and compliance
• Communicate regularly with management and ownership on course conditions, staffing, and project updates
• Support capital projects and long-term course improvements
Educational Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy or related field
Experience Requirements
• 5+ years of prior experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
• Strong knowledge of warm-season turf management
• Proven team leadership and project management skills
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems and equipment operation
• Florida pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
