Golf Course Superintendent
Lahontan Golf Club, one of the Sierra's most respected private clubs, is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to assist its golf course maintenance operation. The Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Golf Course Operations and plays a central leadership role in maintaining high quality playing conditions while developing people, systems, and future leaders. The role is ideal for a Superintendent seeking long-term stability at a premier club, or a highly experienced leader ready to guide a major renovation while building the next generation of turf professionals.

Initial Priorities
- Seek to understand the property, culture, and expectations of Lahontan Golf Club.
- Build strong relationships with staff, members, and fellow department leaders.
- Evaluate current operating systems and procedures.
- Make thoughtful, incremental improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and team effectiveness.
Educational Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy or related field
Experience Requirements
- Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in Spanish
- Must possess Ca pesticide license/certificate within 60 days
- 3-5 years experience as a golf course superintendent or lead assistant
- Humble leader with respect for traditions
- Passion for developing people
- Strong water management and drainage practices
- Detail-oriented and operationally disciplined
- Knowledge of Mountain climates and agronomic practices
- High Golf IQ and passionate about the game
- Proven track record of developing team members
- Continuous learner with focus on improvement
