Assistant-in-Training
Shoreacres, located on the Northshore of Chicagoland in Lake Bluff, Illinois. The Club was established in 1916 by Chicago businesspeople who quickly hired Seth Raynor to build a golf course that was completed in 1921 and often considered to be of his greatest works. Consisting of unique glacial ravines throughout the property, the routing sits impeccably using many of the famed Template Holes along with original Raynor designs throughout. The founding members acquired the Lake Michigan shoreline property with intentions of building a quiet understated club to escape the busy Country Clubs they were members of already. These timeless traditions remain intact today to preserve the legacy of those with such impeccable foresight to create such an amazing Club. The original 450 feet of shoreline frontage to Lake Michigan consists of one of golf's great clubhouses designed by David Adler, with a view that is second to none.
