Golf Course Superintendent

Full-time

Exchange City Golf Course is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to begin as soon as March 1st.

The ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated leader who sets the standard by example. This individual will be hands-on, hardworking, and committed to building a well-trained, engaged, and enthusiastic staff. The Superintendent will foster a positive team-first culture while contributing to a strong, collaborative work environment focused on course excellence.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in golf course management and turf cultural practices; GCSAA membership preferred

  • Certified and licensed for pesticide application

  • BA/BS Degree preferred

Experience Requirements

 

  • Plan, organize, and direct all grounds department operations across the property

  • Report directly to the Director of Golf Operations

  • Maintain all mechanical equipment in exceptional working condition

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of budgeting and financial management

  • Procure, manage, and oversee all supplies and materials used in daily golf course operations

  • Possess strong knowledge of irrigation and watering practices, including irrigation systems, pumps, and automatic controls

  • Train staff on the safe operation, maintenance, and care of all mechanical equipment

  • Manage grounds staff responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions, in coordination with the Director of Golf

Special Requirements

Exchange City Golf Course is an 18-hole par-3 golf course located in the heart of beautiful Billings, Montana. Spanning 60 acres, the course offers some of the finest playing conditions in the area. Featuring a fully grass driving range with 25 hitting stations and three dedicated practice greens, Exchange City Par 3 is truly a hidden gem set within a vibrant, growing city.
