Description & Purpose
The Turf Technician – Maintenance Division is responsible for performing assigned work with a “Superintendent Mindset,” emphasizing attention to detail, proactive communication, and the highest quality standards. This role supports turf maintenance, applications, cultivation, irrigation, and miscellaneous field work while maintaining accurate reporting, equipment cleanliness, and timely communication with management.
Primary Responsibilities
Work Execution & Quality
- Perform all assigned work in a detail-oriented manner and at the highest quality possible.
- Approach each site and task with a Superintendent Mindset, taking ownership of outcomes and site conditions.
- Follow company standards, procedures, and best practices at all times.
Job Reporting & Daily Check-Ins
- Complete daily job reports accurately and consistently. (Important: needs to be reported daily)

Participate in required 4:00 PM daily check-ins, based on work assignment:
- Applications: Check in with the Applications Expert (Senior Turf Manager)
- Cultural Work: Check in with the Cultural Expert (Senior Turf Manager)
- Miscellaneous Work (mowing, irrigation repair, sod repair, etc.): Check in with the VP of Maintenance
Communication Expectations (Applies to All Maintenance Division Employees)

Communicate clearly and consistently regarding:
- Site conditions, turf issues, and observations through job reports description
- Inventory shortages (product, tines, materials) to the appropriate manager
- Equipment repair needs via the “Equipment Repairs” Teams channel
- Ask questions early and communicate concerns before they become problems.
Division-Wide Expectations
- If issues or challenges arise on a job, report them immediately to the appropriate manager.

Maintain cleanliness and professional upkeep of:
- Assigned truck
- All equipment used daily
- Clean equipment after each use and/or at the end of each workday.
Safety & Professional Standards
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
- Represent the company professionally at all job sites.

Educational Requirements
Prior industry experience and/or a degree in turfgrass management is required.
Experience Requirements
3 years of experience in turf maintenance or related field work preferred.
Special Requirements
- Ability to follow direction while taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Willingness to communicate openly and consistently.
- Valid driver’s license.
- PA Pesticide License or the ability to get one within 60 days of employment.
