Assistant in Training Highlights:

• Daily hands-on turf management: mowing, rolling, fertility, irrigation, aerification
• Golf course setup, data collection, and tournament preparation

• Close mentorship from experienced assistants and golf course manager

We take pride in our strong team culture, fun and supportive work environment, and commitment to a healthy work/life balance.  AIT’s work closely with our management team and take part in afternoon meetings, giving you the chance to ask questions, share observations, make suggestions, and learn how key decisions are made. You’ll gain valuable exposure to irrigation scheduling and water management practices. This is an excellent opportunity to build your communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills while gaining valuable experience.

We provide focused, hands-on experience in all areas of golf course management, ensuring personalized mentorship and guidance. Our goal is for every AIT to be fully prepared for an assistant’s position. In a positive, supportive environment, you’ll gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge necessary for long-term success. This position serves as a true steppingstone toward a career in the golf industry, with the opportunity for advancement into an assistant role at our club.  All four of our current assistants started as interns and/or AIT’s at Nantucket Golf Club.
