Assistant Equipment Technician
Windsor is an exclusive private community set between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean along Florida's Treasure Coast. Windsor members enjoy a host of amenities including, beach clubs, tennis, equestrian and a world class Robert Trent Jones designed golf course.
The 18-hole golf course sits on 150 acres and includes 26 putting greens, a short course and a 16 acre polo/driving range. The golf course hosted the famed Father/Son Challenge from 1995-1998. The golf course was fully renovated in 2019. Annual rounds of golf: 13,000.
We are looking to welcome an Assistant Equipment Technician to our team.
Educational Requirements
Willing to learn, strong work ethic and display initiative
Knowledge of turf equipment and ability to perform repairs at a high level
Possession of a valid driver's license
Experience Requirements
Regular attendance, flexibility and timeliness are required.
Communicate any needs or problems relating to maintenance or repair of equipment with the Head Mechanic and/or Golf Course Superintendent.
Work with GCM team as needed to maintain the golf course as directed by Golf Course Superintendent and Senior Assistant Superintendent.
Inspects, diagnoses, adjusts, and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various pieces of Golf Course Maintenance Equipment on a regular basis.
Assists with prioritizing equipment repair and maintenance work.
Sets up and modifies new equipment as needed.
Repairs and adjusts engines and cutting mechanisms on various heavy and light mowing equipment.
Assist in maintaining reels and rotary blades when directed by the Head Mechanic
Keeps maintenance equipment fueled, oiled, and inspected; and performs related tasks as required.
Changes and repair tires.
Assists in ordering parts as needed.
Assists in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop compound.
May require adjusted work schedules to meet deadlines.
