Superintendent-in-Training

Flagstaff Golf Maintenance is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in training for the Continental Country Club. The position will report directly to the Course Superintendent and assists with the day to day oversight of the maintenance and agronomic practices of the property, golf course and adjacent grounds. Working with a small crew, this position is perfect for anyone trying to broaden their knowledge of the turf grass industry. 

1-3 yrs turf grass management experience, supervisory experience, self driven with a passion for the turf grass industry, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills. Works with Superintendent on short term and long term agronomic strategies to maintain the course daily, weekly, monthly fertilization, irrigation ,etc. Must have Rainbird Irrigation. Need to obtain AZ Pesticide license within 90 days. Full time yr round position. Winter work is projects, bunkers and clean up.
