Brook Hollow Golf Club Assistant in Training Brook Hollow Golf Club, founded in 1920, is one of the preeminent private member-owned golf clubs in the southwestern United States. Brook Hollow has hosted significant golf tournaments, including multiple Trans-Miss championships, the USGA Mid-Am, as well as USGA and Texas Golf Association championships/qualifiers. This year, we will co-host the U.S. Junior Amateur with Trinity Forest Golf Club in July. Brook Hollow Golf Club recently completed an extensive golf course renovation to restore the original A.W. Tillinghast design characteristics from the 1920s, completed in November 2020. The project included a new Toro 2-wire irrigation system. Fairways, tees, and roughs were all resurfaced with Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass. The greens are 7-7-7 bentgrass with Sub-air and Hydronics systems to control sub-surface temperature and air/gas exchange. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn turfgrass management using state-of-the-art technologies. We are looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual eager to develop their skills as an assistant superintendent. This is not just a laborer position - candidates will take on key assistant responsibilities and be expected to step in when an assistant superintendent is absent. The chosen individual will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance, including but not limited to the following: Chemical and Fertilizer calibration, application, and safety. Irrigation repair and scheduling using Lynx software. Moisture management on bentgrass and bermudagrass playing surfaces. Assist in the management of golf course Native areas and Practice Facilities.
