We are seeking a motivated and career-driven individual to join our golf course maintenance team and grow within the profession. Position Overview: The Assistant in Training (AIT) is an entry-level management position for individuals pursuing a career in golf course maintenance and turfgrass management. This role provides hands-on experience and structured development under the guidance of the Director of Agronomy. The AIT position will serve a crucial role in the Golf Course Maintenance Department. Key Responsibilities: Assist in daily golf course maintenance, including mowing, fertilizing, irrigation, and pesticide applications. Supervise and train maintenance staff in best practices and safety procedures. Help coordinate daily job assignments and monitor crew performance. Learn and assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repair. Support special projects, renovations, and course improvements. Ensure course conditioning meets club and member expectations. Follow and promote all safety and environmental guidelines.
