An exciting professional golf course management position is being offered as a Superintendent-In-Training position at Willows Run Golf Complex in Redmond, Washington. This is a unique opportunity to join a golf course ownership group at the ground level of their expansion. We are seeking an individual that can demonstrate the agronomic, business and leadership skill sets that can advance from the Superintendent-In-Training to Head Superintendent as the company grows. This opportunity can catapult you into to the Golf Course Superintendent position in a relatively short timeframe. Willows Run Golf Club is a single owner, revenue generating 45-hole golf facility. It is the first ownership property in a planned multi-golf facility ownership expansion. The goal is for the candidate to advance to the Golf Course Superintendent at Willows Run GC as soon as the second company property is acquired. The owner will promote the current Superintendent by relocating him to the next newly acquired golf facility. Most importantly, the position offers potential long-term employment and stability in the ever-changing golf course management profession. This is an ownership facility that re-invests in the property to continually improve it. The staffing, equipment and annual & capital budgets are all at a quality level. Willows Run Golf Complex is a 45-hole layout with two unique 18-hole courses, Eagle’s Talon and Coyote Creek, a 9-hole par 3 short course, Heron Links, and an 18-hole family putting course. Canadians Lisa Maki and Ted Locke are the golf course architects. The established turf is primarily poa. The ideal candidate: · Associates or Bachelor of Science degree in plant & soil science/agronomy or related field · Embraces the commitment to continuing to improve the playing conditions and initiating a long-range master plan · Boldly and positively exhibits the work ethic to provide quality playing conditions · Agronomic skill set to manage a 100% poa annua golf course · Proactive with exemplary organizational & time management skills to complete tasks in a timely manner, instructing and managing staff to do the same. Ideal candidates will have strong interest in Golf Architecture, and thrive in the fast paced and chaotic nature of major golf construction projects.
