Oakland Hills Country Club is seeking passionate individuals ready to launch or accelerate their careers in the golf industry. The club opened this new era with the 2024 US Junior Amateur  and will host seven additional USGA championships over the next 27 years. A state-of-the-art maintenance facility opened in 2025, with a new clubhouse set to open in Spring 2026. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to be at the forefront of meaningful change.

  • Integrate into daily operations across 36 holes
  • Develop elite agronomic skill sets including:
  • Water management
  • Fertilizer and chemical applications
  • Irrigation diagnostics and repair
  • Championship course setup
  • Team leadership
  • Gain exposure to all facets of a top-20 agronomy program

About Oakland Hills Country Club

Founded in 1916, with Walter Hagen serving as the club’s first professional, Oakland Hills Country Club stands as one of the most historic and revered private clubs in the United States. The 36-hole Donald Ross property has hosted 17 major championships and welcomed legends such as Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Ben Hogan—who famously dubbed the South Course “The Monster.”

Most recently, the South Course underwent a comprehensive restoration led by Gil Hanse, Jim Wagner, and Caveman Construction, returning the layout to Ross’ original architectural intent. Since its 2021 reopening, the course has surged in global rankings, reaffirming Oakland Hills’ place at the forefront of championship golf.

Experience Requirements

 

  • Certificate, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree preferred
