Assistant-in-Training
Full-time
The assistant in training will report to the Director of Agronomy and Assistant Superintendents. Responsibilities include
- Daily course set up
- Staff management
- Chemical and fertilizer applications
- Localized dry spot monitoring and hand watering.
- Employee safety and standardization of training programs
- Irrigation troubleshooting
Educational Requirements
Two or Four year degree in turf management/Horticulture/Agronomy desired but not required.
Experience Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of two years golf course experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license in good standings
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, with continuous standing and walking.
Special Requirements
Must have a driver's license in good standings
Registered chemical applicator/commercial applicator or have the ability to gain certificate
Pay will be based on experience.
