Turf Equipment Technician
Fleet supervisor is responsible for preventative equipment maintenance program, emergency repairs and daily maintenance of all equipment and vehicles. Performs hands-on maintenance work as required. Two mechanics report to the incumbent. Neshanic Valley is a county-owned, 27-hole championship golf course plus nine-hole academy course with driving range and practice facility. Often ranked in top 3 public courses in New Jersey. Neshanic is one of five courses owned by Somerset County Park Commission
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver's license. CDL not required but can obtain if desired.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years as a golf mechanic preferred. Must have working knowledge of light and heavy-duty construction and maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus and skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repairs. Must be able to work weekends and holidays if required, and emergency situations. Ability to adjust work schedule as required for the efficient operation of the maintenance division
