Turf Equipment Technician

Job description:
- Intake of all new equipment brought in; identify and document mechanical and cosmetic issues in need of repair.
- Accurately test, troubleshoot, and diagnose failures on hydraulic, electrical systems, and gasoline and diesel engines.
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Prepare parts list for equipment needing repairs.
- Install/repair necessary parts, check fluid levels, test and assure proper operation.
- Operate and test equipment to ensure quality standards are met before unit leaves to customer.
- Performs grinding/sharpening, general overhaul of motors and reels, installs and adjusts braking systems.
- Overall shop cleanliness and organization.
Educational Requirements
Desired requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of golf course or heavy landscape equipment, with experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred.

- Often required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend, and kneel for five hours at a time without sitting
- Frequently is required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, crawl, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs occasionally
- Noise level is typically loud
