Experience Requirements
Under the direction of the Equipment Manager, the Assistant Equipment Technician helps and/or works independently of the equipment manager in maintenance of all golf course equipment. They are responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining various gasoline and diesel equipment including but not limited to John Deere walking and riding reel mowers, rotary mowers, gators, pro-gators, tractors etc. The Assistant Equipment Technician also supports maintaining a clean maintenance bay and diligently insures all facility safety protocols are in place through a preventative maintenance checks and services program. This position requires a motivated individual with a keen eye for attention to detail and who thrives working in a team oriented environment. Our goal is to help mentor and support an assistant equipment technician into a head equipment manager. Special Requirements
Assist with and independently perform repairs and maintenance on gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area and maintenance building
Contribute to and follow preventative maintenance programs
Perform rotor blade and reel blade maintenance
Inspect equipment daily and report mechanical issues
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
Check quality of cut and make height-of-cut adjustments
Assist with maintaining a clean, well-organized parts inventory room
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Maintain positive, cooperative working relationships with team members
