Job Summary:
The golf course superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operations, and management of the golf course. They carefully manage the maintenance inputs to the golf course while conserving and protecting natural resources. They directly influence the playing areas and landscapes with which golfers interact
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the construction and maintenance of the golf course.
- Manages the golf course maintenance team and schedules operational tasks.
- Leads the maintenance and repair of golf course maintenance equipment.
- Assists in the creation and implementation of the golf course operating budget and Golf Course Agronomy Road Map.
- Renders professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services to the club.
Educational Requirements
Minimum of 2-year Turf Degree
Experience Requirements
Prefer 3-5 years' experience as Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant
Special Requirements
- Virginia Pesticide Applicators License, or ability to obtain within 30-days.
