Overview

Bridgesong is a planned 1,000-acre golf club and residential community located in Blanchard, Oklahoma. The goal of the project is to bring a world-class golf, residential, and lifestyle experience to central Oklahoma. The development is anchored by a championship golf course and a thoughtfully planned community that emphasizes craftsmanship, land stewardship, and long-term legacy.

Golf course construction is currently underway, with grassing scheduled to begin in late spring 2026, construction and grassing completed by late summer of 2026, and a grand opening planned for June of 2027.

This is a rare opportunity for a motivated turf professional to join an experienced leadership team and participate in the construction, grow-in, and opening of a premier new golf course while helping establish a long-term maintenance operation from the ground up.

Position Summary

The Equipment Manager will play a critical role in the success of the golf maintenance operation at Bridgesong.

This position is responsible for the maintenance, performance, and management of a brand-new equipment fleet, as well as the organization and operation of the maintenance facility.

The Equipment Manager will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and work closely with the Senior Assistant Superintendent to ensure the golf course is maintained to tournament-quality standards.

This role presents a rare opportunity to establish the equipment maintenance program during the grow-in phase of a brand-new championship golf course, helping prepare the course for its opening in 2027.

The ideal candidate will bring a high level of mechanical expertise, organization, and pride in maintaining equipment at the highest standard.


Maintenance Facility & Equipment Environment

The Bridgesong golf maintenance team will operate from a newly renovated maintenance facility designed for efficiency, safety, and organization. The Equipment Manager will oversee a brand-new equipment fleet and will have the opportunity to establish shop standards and systems from day one.

The facility will include:

·         Dedicated reel grinding room

·         Wash bay and equipment service areas

·         Organized parts and inventory storage

·         Equipment tracking and maintenance software

·         Modern safety and environmental compliance systems


Key Responsibilities

·         Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all golf course equipment

·         Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions

·         Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment

·         Work with management to schedule maintenance tasks that align with course operations

·         Utilize industry software to track maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and equipment records

·         Perform and oversee all reel grinding and cutting unit setup to exact standards

·         Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel, gas, and electric-powered equipment

·         Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance history

·         Assist with budgeting for parts, repairs, and equipment replacement planning

·         Train team members in proper equipment maintenance and reel setup procedures

·         Manage the storage, handling, and disposal of mechanical fluids in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

·         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance facility

·         Foster a work environment focused on safety, efficiency, and pride in craftsmanship

Educational Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

·         High School Diploma, Certificate, or Associate Degree in a related field

·         Minimum 5 years experience in a golf course maintenance operation as a mechanic, assistant mechanic, or lead technician

·         Experience is valued above formal education

·         Experience with Jacobsen equipment preferred

·         Experience working during a golf course grow-in or new course opening is highly valued
