Responsible for all golf course maintenance on a daily basis.

Deputy Head Greenkeeper - Hemsted Forest Golf Club, Kent, England - 18 hole parkland course.
My responsibilities included -
Application of all chemical and fertiliser treatment.
Irrigation maintenance and repairs as required.
Setting of height and quality of cut on all machinery.
Maintenance of all machinery and workshop.
Dealing with aspects of health and safety such as preparing risk assessments.
Prepare work schedules in advance with the Head Greenkeeper.
Responsible for all maintenance tasks carried out on the golf course on a daily basis.
Delegating tasks to work colleagues.
Apply all chemical treatments and fertiliser applications throughout the golf course.
Implement machinery maintenance schedule and budgeting for spare parts.
Work in conjunction with the owner on detailed plans for future maintenance tasks and course improvements.
A substantial improvement in greens quality was noted by the members following my commencement at Hemsted Forest Golf Club.
PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT - November 2013 - March 2015
Mechanic - Golf de L’Isle Adam, France - an 18 hole parkland course near Paris.
Budget of 24000 euros for all machinery maintenance including oils, filters, repairs and replacement parts.
Responsible for all maintenance of machinery fleet which includes John Deere 2500E x 3, John Deere 7500 x 2, John Deere 8800 x 2, John Deere Gator TS x 4, Toro 3250 x 3, Toro 5510, Toro workman 2100, Jacobsen GK IV triples, John Deere 1200Abunker rake x 2, Jacobsen 311, Kubota STV 32, 5450, 2850 tractors, John Deere 4300 tractor. Stihl chainsaws and brushcutters.
Monitor fuel usage and order as required.
Competent in the use of mig and arc welding equipment and oxyacetylene equipment.
Also assist the grounds crew on the course for maintenance tasks.
Grinding carried out on Bernhard Anglemaster 1000 and Express Dual 1000 and Rapid Facer 1000.
Work in conjunction with the Head Greenkeeper preparing work schedules and assigning and setting up machinery in advance.
PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT - January 1999 - November 2013
Assistant Greenkeeper/Golf Course Machinery Mechanic - Prestwick St. Nicholas Golf Club, Prestwick, Scotland - an 18 hole private members links course.
Responsible for all grinding of cylinders and bottom blades on Bernhard Express Dual spin grinder, Bernhard Anglemaster 3000 bed knife grinder, Bernhard Rapid Facer 1000 and Hunter Juno 2000 relief grinder.
Setting of all machines for height and quality of cut.
Implement a maintenance program for all machinery to a high level to include routine servicing of petrol and diesel machines and hydraulic systems, all repairs are done by myself such as renew bearings, strip down engines, welding, fit replacement parts and keep workshop running smoothly in line with the health and safety policy of the club.
Highly experienced with ride on triplexes and hand mowers and various machinery such as Wiedenmann Terra Spike, Ryan GA30, Moore Overseeder and Cushman equipment, other machinery at the club include Jacobsen 322 Eclipse, Toro 3250D, Toro 3100, Jacobsen TR 3, AR3, Jacobsen 522A and John Deere 220B hand mowers, John Deere Gator and Kubota 5240, 4200L, B2100 , B1550 tractors.
I recently implemented a new service program, including a new spreadsheet format of service and parts costings.
Also have some experience in construction of greens, tees and revetting of bunkers. The 10th green being completely rebuilt in winter 2001, and the 8th green being extended creating a two tier green in winter 2002. Tees and bunkers are routinely rebuilt as part of the annual winter programme of works.

Career in Brief
Started in greenkeeping in November 1988 with the local authority at Dalmilling Golf Course, Ayr, an eighteen hole parkland course, as a trainee greenkeeper for three and half years, gaining valuable experience in construction of greens and tees, as the first nine holes were redesigned with five new greens and nine new tees being built.
Moved within the local authority in 1992 to Belleisle Golf Course, Ayr, an eighteen hole parkland course set in mature woodland, with one year spent as First Assistant Greenkeeper, staying there until 1995 before leaving to attend full time education.
During winter 1996-97 I was employed at Prestwick Golf Club specifically to rebuild approximately seventy bunkers on the historic links of Prestwick, venue for the first 12 Open championships and British and Scottish Amateur Championships.
During this period the ‘Tom Morris’ bunker was constructed on the 15th hole and the 12 hole competition was played.
After this time I moved back with the local authority working at Girvan Golf Course as First Assistant before gaining a position at Prestwick St. Nicholas Golf Club.

Scottish Agricultural College, Auchincruive, Ayr 1995-1996 - HNC Amenity Horticulture.
Ayr College 1988-1991 - Scotvec National Certificate Modules in Greenkeeping.
During this time I achieved the distinction of being awarded the Best Trainee Cup for first and second year students and the BIGGA Cup for third year students.
