Since 1995, the first Friday of March has been recognized as National Employee Appreciation Day.

The Rising Stars of Turf recognizes superintendents in the early stages of their careers, assistants, equipment technicians, interns, students and sports turf managers. All Stars of Turf recognizes established superintendents, equipment technicians, career assistants, salespeople, architects, consultants or educators who have distinguished themselves over time.
