Staffieri graduated from UCONN with a degree in agronomy and then worked at The Country Club (Brookline, MA) for the 1999 Ryder Cup, where he became intrigued with the idea of shifting careers from golf course maintenance to construction. Teaming up with golf course architects is part of the process.
