Help Wanted: Irrigation Installation Specialist Location: Cape May National Golf Club, Cape May, NJ Job Type: Contract / Temporary Project-Based Start Date: Immediate Cape May National Golf Course, one of South Jersey’s premier golf destinations, is seeking a skilled Irrigation Installation Specialist to assist with the installation of a brand-new, state-of-the-art irrigation system across our 18-hole championship course. We would work with the candidate to hire 2-3 irrigation installation technicians to help install. Job Responsibilities: Install and configure new irrigation infrastructure, including mainlines, lateral lines, valves, controllers, and sprinkler heads. Read and interpret irrigation blueprints and technical schematics. Operate trenching and excavation equipment. Ensure proper zoning, pressure regulation, and system coverage. Test, troubleshoot, and adjust the system post-installation. Collaborate with the golf course superintendent and grounds team to minimize disruption to play and turf conditions. Requirements: Proven experience installing golf course or large-scale turf irrigation systems (Toro, Rain Bird, Hunter, or similar). Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical irrigation systems. Ability to operate heavy machinery and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and on a project timeline. Preferred: Certifications in irrigation installation or water management. Experience with GPS mapping tools and digital control systems. This is a contract-based role tied to the duration of the installation project, with competitive pay based on experience. Housing could be provided during project.
