The Irrigation Technician for the University of Louisville Golf Club, under the supervision of the Senior Assistant Superintendent, is responsible for the programming, operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system(s). The irrigation technician is required to report any irregularities in course turf quality to the Senior Assistant Superintendent. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have thorough understanding and experience with Rain Bird Cirrus Irrigation Program Must have thorough understanding and experience with Integrated Control (IC) Systems Responsible for 1400 Stations and over 500 Zones Responsible for 90 acres of turf and 10 acres of landscape in the HOA Oversee and administer the computerized central irrigation system related to HOA irrigation, including data input and adjustments as necessary. Review and monitor all requests for changes to the irrigation computer settings and run times for the HOA. Review and monitor irrigation practices within the HOA by third party contractor. Perform field inspections of irrigation within the HOA. Review HOA moisture monitoring results and formulate irrigation run times as a result of seasonal changes. Interface, as appropriate, with the Golf Course Superintendent regarding computerized central irrigation for the golf course. Once the centralized irrigation system is fully functional and streamlined for the HOA, provide contract administrative oversight for certain Association contracts, as requested.
