It's possible your article carried an error from Seth Jones article with Bator. Dick worked at Oak Hill, not Oakmont. Seth's article came out before this one. If you did use Seth;s piece as a source, it's notyou fault because editors are paid to proofread text; they are not known to be sloppy. Below is the article from Golfdom. I never reached out to Golfdom. Bator is a legend and deserves respect. To make a glaring error like this isn't right. I know it's a million years later and it's not even worth mentioning it, but when I saw it again, I had to say something. Editors are not known to be sloppy., they're paid to proofread text... I know it's not the end of the world, but if you know Dick Battor, you know he took his lumps. He deserves better. I'm sure mistakes like these are not made with other superintendents who have bounced around, noit out of incompetence, but for opposite. In Bator's case, he really could grow grass.
