Fertilizer formulations vary widely based upon numerous agronomic and economic factors. Many fertilizers contain components such as filler that provide little to no value and increase costs. The presenter will show several fertilizers and discuss which components are listed on the label and which components are not.
The presentation also includes information on the importance of proper fertilizer formulation and how to adjust fertilizer to maximize efficiencies without reducing turfgrass performance. Fertilizers presented are relevant to both cool- and warm-season turfgrasses.
