Part I: Putting Green Construction and Management . . . The Michigan State Way

02/15/2017 Trey Rogers, Ph.D., Michigan State University

Trey Rogers, Ph.D., of Michigan State University discusses how a variable-depth rootzone can increase soil-moisture retention in an undulating putting green when compared with a green constructed to standard USGA specifications.

The presentation also includes information on use of coarse sand topdressing for helping to create and maintain larger pores in the soil to promote movement of air and water through the profile.
