Hello, I am a senior at UMass Amherst in the Turf Management program of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture. I have worked in the golf course industry since my senior year of high school and am now seeking full time employment upon graduation in the spring. I am motivated and dedicated to the turf industry and to continued learning and growth in my career. Attached is my resume including the three most recent courses I have worked and interned at, including relevant qualifications, experience, and more. Thank you for taking the time to read my resume and I hope to hear from you. Cheers!
My name is William Morris, I am in my final year at Umass Amherst in my Turfgrass management associates degree. I have currently grown up working in that maintenance side of the world, wether its when I worked for my fathers construction company to working landscaping to now being in golf course maintenance. I have spent the past 3 summers working golf course maintenance, and a summer working in the pro-shop which wasn't for me. I have fallen in love with working on golf courses, I am currently super ready to take the next step in my career path and try to see other golf courses, and continue to learn and grow in this industry.
I am interested in advancing my career in the industry. I have a combined total of 18 years of experience in the golf course industry. I enjoy the time outdoors and the validation of both a job well done and satisfaction derived from assisting clientele. I am open to any position that pays well (I will not mince words). I believe I am worth the pay, when I lived in Tamaqua, I drove 3 hours a day to and from my position at Ravensclaw Golf in Pottstown PA. I did so for 5 years before relocating to Dysart, PA.
I am a current Rugby field supervisor in glendale Colorado. My official title is Athletic Grounds supervisor with the city of Glendale and Raptors Rugby Club at Infinity Park. I have 5+ years of experience in sports turf, golf, residential/commercial turf and tree maintenance as well as a graduate from Colorado State University with a degree in turf management. I am currently pursuing my CDA pesticide applicator license in category 206/207 and am testing this month. I also will obtain my ISA arborist certification within the next year. I have experience implementing IPM programs, using spray rigs, top dressing, aeration, and running most golf and sports turf equipment as well as basic maintenance. I am looking for a position with growth and good pay as the current industry is not providing me with that. I work hard I show up early and I stay late. I care about giving back to the community as well as the environment. I am willing to relocate for the right position and pay. If these things seem like a good fit please reach out.
Hello, I am Travis Miller and am finishing my Master's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My degree has been focused on golf course turf research in areas of topdressing and organic matter soil testing. I am looking to get back into a position where I am more hands on and working with golf courses. In addition to my education I have experience as an intern at Whistling Straits and Wade Hampton Golf Club as well as an assistant in training at University Ridge Golf Course. I am based in Madison, WI and would prefer to stay in the Midwest but could move for the right position!
