What a busy weekend I have had. On Sunday I graduated from The Ohio State University along with fellow classmates and fraternity brothers. 

Today I woke up bright an early for a flight to Atlanta to meet up with Jon Kiger and a day of tours at East Lake Golf Club and Stone Mountain Golf Club. At East Lake, the course where the great Bobby Jones grew up playing golf, Assistant Jason Tharp met us and gave a tour around. We saw the effects a large tournament can have on a course for months to follow, as well as the unique bunker raking that is done. At the end of the visit I got to meet OSU grad, Ralph Kepple (below left).

Finishing up the day we visited Stone Mountain Golf Club where Anthony Williams, CGCS, gave us a quick tour of the course and some history of the holes. We were able to see how a course is managed in a resort setting while being aware of the environment. Anthony also took us to the new pump house that was put in following a flood from a couple of years ago that damaged the old one.
