Lake Hayes A&P 100th Show
A&P shows, or Agricultural and Pastoral Societies, showcase farming for all in NZ to see. These are similar to county or state fairs in the United States. Some can be large, others small, but all try to bring people back to their roots. The Lake Hayes A&P Show was founded in 1904 as the Lake County A&P Show. This is still the official name, but Lake Hayes is better known. 111 years later and Lake County is celebrating the 100th show. This A&P show is quite small and only one day. I only arrived at 2 pm so I missed some of the animal shows and parade, but I got to see some of the horses and singing.
