Job Duties Included: Maintains golf course per company guidelines Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs to the Resort Manager. Assists Resort Manager with special maintenance projects as necessary. Assists in maintaining grounds and common areas and keeping them free from trash and debris. May assist in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies. Moves heavy objects as requested. Works closely with management and the maintenance engineer in developing an integral team that effectively represents the quality and professionalism of the company. High level of understanding of the sports requirements for field layouts and markings. Possession of a valid driver's license and excellent driving record. Current state certification or licensing as a pesticide applicator or ability to obtain in 6 months. Instructs equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment and/or operates mowing and other equipment; supervises chemical applications and/or operates and calibrates chemical application equipment; supervises and participates in the operation and maintenance of pumps, and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must be a professional, self-starter who will work as a team player, and also be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The preferred candidate will have a two or four year degree in turfgrass related studies, or the equivalence in experience and education.
