The playing surfaces consist of Champion greens, Bimini Bermuda fairways and tees, and Turf-Type Tall Fescue Rough.    A successful candidate must be self motivating, hardworking with a sense of urgency, and able to maintain a positive attitude. It is important that the candidate have strong leadership skills, and is team oriented. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to manage all aspects of the golf course as well as facility grounds. The Assistant will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Agronomy team, including Spray Technicians, Irrigation Technicians, and all full-time and part-time staff.    In February, RedStick will undergo a complete re-grassing project. This will include the installation of a new irrigation system and pump station, new drainage infrastructure, the coring out and installation of USGA spec greens, as well as the coring out and installation of new bunkers throughout the course. All playing surfaces at this time will be converted to Bimini Bermudagrass, with the exception of  Champion on the  greens. Currently, about 75% of our tees are bentgrass but we are in the process of resodding them to Zeon Zoysia. Our goal is to have all tees converted to Zeon Zoysia by the end of next year. Our fairways are Meyer Zoysia, and the rough is a mix of bermudagrass and tall fescue.
