Title Florida GCSA Association Manager Location Home Based Effective Date 2/1/2023 Status Job Summary/Overview The Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association Association Manager is responsible for engaging respective members of the association through membership recruitment, membership retainment and industry partnership participation while also assisting in the daily affairs of the association. This is a visible position within the industry requiring the utmost awareness of how actions and communication are perceived by association members and the general public. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following statements describe the principal functions of this position and the scope of responsibility but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements. Individuals may be expected to perform other duties as assigned, including working in other areas to cover absences or balance the workload. General Responsibilities · Provides excellent customer service to members and non-members of the association · Coordinates the Executive Director on special projects, daily work assignments and progress of work · Assists in the development and execution of the operational budget, long term goals, plans and practices · Actively participates in local chapter and state association events by attending meetings and networking with members, non-members and Industry Partners · Knowledge of Association affairs to promote the Association at chapter events; promoting the Associations mission, vision and goals · Assist the Executive Director with administrative duties · Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of the annual Florida GCSA Reception, The Steven Wright Memorial Golf Tournament, the past-President’s dinner and the Florida GCSA Benevolent Golf Tournament · Attend all Florida GCSA Board Meetings throughout the year Performs all duties in adherence to Association policy and standards Membership Recruitment and Retention · Contacts non-member courses via telephone, email or on-site visits to promote membership in the Florida GCSA and local chapters · Contacts non-renewing members via telephone, email or on-site visits to promote membership renewal in the Florida GCSA and local chapters · Engage with members and potential members at association and local chapter events · Promotes the value of Association membership by communicating the Associations mission, vision and goals Advertising · Familiarization with the Florida GCSA Media Kit to promote the Florida GCSA advertising opportunities and Industry Partnership Program · Increase ad revenue from the Florida Green magazine, Membership Directory and Industry Partnership Program by engaging prospective and current advertisers and Industry Partners during participation at association and local chapter events, telephone and email exchange or on-site visits
