Position: Park Supervisor - Clement Park (Full-Time/Exempt) Hiring Salary Range: $73,790 - $94,602 Full Salary Range: $73,790 - $115,415 Application Deadline: 8/28/25 The Park Supervisor at Clement Park is responsible for assisting with planning, organizing, and directing the activities related to park maintenance. Participate in short-term and long-range planning for the department and monitors activities of assigned employees to make the most effective and efficient use of skill and equipment available. Clement Park is one of the busiest public parks in the metro area and features a mix of athletic fields, picnic shelters, open play area and trails. Clement Park is also home to the Columbine Memorial and many organized special events. For more information on Clement Park please visit: https://www.ifoothills.org/clement-park/ Job Duties: Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate assigned staff; provide or coordinate staff training, and work with employees to correct deficiencies. Assign, direct and monitor the daily activities of personnel and equipment engaged in park maintenance work. Aid in organizing and scheduling of community programs and special events. Supervises and is accountable for coordinating maintenance of developed park land, open space, and trails. Includes, but is not limited to; mowing, irrigation, trimming, edging, seeding, sodding, fertilizing, aerating, planting, horticulture practices, chemical application, trash removal/disposal, snow removal, etc. Monitor and coordinate, in conjunction with the Field Foreman, water supply and lake levels on all ditch-fed systems, dam inspections and related correspondence with State agencies. Prepare and monitor budget, manage revenues and expenditures and prepare financial reports. Prepare purchase orders, RFP’s, and invoice requests. Prepare short and long-range revenue/expenditure projections, check revenue streams, etc. Develop and implement strategies to increase usage of assigned areas. Direct ongoing research into new technologies and trends, and recommend implementation of programs and equipment to help the Department achieve its objectives more efficiently. Manage contracts to design, develop, construct or redevelop parks and park facilities by developing contract specifications, participating in the bid selection process, obtaining necessary permits, overseeing/inspecting work and approving payment for services. Develop and maintain relationships with District employees, volunteers, the community, public agencies, the private sector, and non-profit organizations. Maintain excellent public relations, by assuring that public inquiries are answered in a courteous manner and that complaints are responded to promptly. Prepare, enforce, maintain and modify policies and procedures manuals; conduct periodic staff meetings to provide and gather information, answer questions and respond to complaints and concerns, both internally and externally. Gather information, make presentations and/or give staff reports to the Board, community groups or representatives of other agencies. Observe necessary precautions to assure general public safety; inspect facilities for safety and maintenance needs by conducting facility walk-throughs on an on-going systematic basis and report/oversee maintenance repairs. Serve on the Columbine Memorial Foundation Board.
