Congaree’s track record of consistently providing elite playing conditions aided the PGA Tour’s decision to use Congaree as the site for two professional events during the pandemic. Our department executes Congaree’s mission by providing support to the local municipal Sargeant Jasper Golf Club. A two-week youth camp, hosted in June every year, is the culmination of the Congaree Global Golf Initiative. This beloved program fulfills the potential of disadvantaged high school students, who have a passion for golf and good academic standing, by providing them with educational, vocational, and golf-instruction aid. Qualified candidates will work closely, in a team atmosphere, with the Golf Course Superintendent and Senior Assistant to manage the staff of 32 employees. Duties would include but are not limited to: pesticide and fertilizer applications, equipment calibration, course set up, water management, crew management, project leadership, employee scheduling, and record-keeping.  Individuals committed to developing and pursuing professional growth are valued the same as those with more industry experience. Westchester Country Club is a 45-hole private country club designed by Walter Travis, located approximately 20 miles north of New York City and opened in 1922. Westchester has hosted over 40 PGA Tour events in its long history and most recently the Women's PGA Championship in 2015 and the the 2021 USGA Women's Amateur.   Westchester features two 18-hole championship golf courses, a 9 hole par 3 executive course, 8 story hotel, grass and har-tru tennis courts, paddle and squash courts, driving range, teaching studio, 7 miles of residential roads around club, and a 67 acre beach club on the Long Island Sound. Westchester is currently working on a Master Plan for the entire club. The second assistant will have the opportunity to be heavily involved in the construction and planning for continued work on the Master Plan as well as help manage a complete 45 hole irrigation installation beginning in April 2026 . The 2nd Assistant Superintendent position will assist in the execution of the daily activities on the golf course and property. This is a hands-on salaried position and will be responsible for carrying out the Club’s annual agronomic program. Responsibilities will include irrigation system maintenance and repairs, fertilizer and chemical applications, daily communication with the Golf Course Superintendent to assist with staff training, oversight, and review of the work scheduled on the course, and assistance with executing/supervising construction projects and maintenance activities. Candidate must be a team player and have aspirations of a career in golf course maintenance.

NGM Inc is responsible for maintaining Miacomet Golf Course and Siasconset Golf Course, the only public golf courses on Nantucket Island, MA.  Miacomet is a semi private 18 hole resort style golf course open year round, and Siasconset is a 9 hole seasonal operation.  Since 2014 Miacomet has been ranked the #2 public golf course in the state and both courses have been awarded course of the year by the NGCOA.  Miacomet prides itself on world class conditions while handling a high volume of rounds with a fast paced work environment, and Siasconset is a smaller operation while still striving for championship conditions.  This position will be an integral part of the management team and will be involved in all aspects of the operation, working closely with the Superintendent and Assistant on a daily basis.  Their main responsibilities will involve; irrigation, spraying, supervising and training employees, project management, crew leadership, scheduling and record keeping   Miacomet will be renovating the practice green in the fall of '25 and is in middle of ongoing bunker renovation.  Siasconset installed a new well/ pump system in the spring of '24 and is planning an irrigation project and tee renovation for the winter of '25/26.
