Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking an Assistant Equipment Technician to join our Golf Course Maintenance department. The Assistant reports directly to the Equipment Shop Manager. This program includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment service, and assisting with other tasks, as needed. The Assistant Equipment Technician places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building. This position works with the equipment manager to provide a clean and organized shop. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands, bend and stoop, remain at post standing for periods of time, walk for a long distance, and is required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color and peripheral. The noise level in the shop is usually moderate to loud. Due to the busy nature of a garage, the associate must be able to routinely work well under pressure, remain calm, and be tactful with co-workers.
