Support reel grinding and sharpening operations to maintain tournament-quality cutting standards. Ensure shop cleanliness, safety standards, and organization are upheld. Train and support staff in the proper operation and daily care of equipment. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in equipment repair, preferably in a golf course or turf-related setting. Knowledge of reel and rotary mower maintenance and operation preferred but not required. Strong understanding of small engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and overtime as needed during the golf season. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license required; NYS Pesticide License is a plus but not required. Assist in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workshop. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment. Report equipment malfunctions and recommend repairs to the Head Technician. Operate and test equipment to confirm proper operation. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Technician or Golf Course Superintendent. Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in a workshop environment with some outdoor work required. Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
