Accurately test, troubleshoot and diagnose failures on hydraulic, electrical systems, gasoline and diesel engines Repair small engine equipment chainsaws, blowers, string trimmers etc. Daily check for height and quality of cut of all equipment used daily Keep clean safe and organized work space Grinding, sharpening and overhaul of motors and reels Create and implement a preventative maintenance program of equipment
Lewis River Golf Course, Woodland Washington. Lewis River Golf Course is in search of a motivated, team-oriented individual with entry level Equipment Technician experience with entry small engine experience as well for a full time Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week position. This person will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of all the equipment operated by LRG and its entities, i.e., golf operations, housekeeping, food & beverage, etc. This Technician will work alongside the Turf Equipment Manager, as well as the Course Superintendent utilizing safe working methods and adhering to all OSHA regulations as well as LRG’s standard operating procedures. May also Assist with greens crew operations when needed from time to time. Job Requirements · Mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and familiarity with common mechanic's tools · Provide basic personal tools for repairs. · Work as a team mentality with a go getter attitude · Shop/yard housekeeping · Working knowledge of both gas (4-cycle & 2-cycle) and diesel equipment repair and maintenance · Ability to understand electrical and hydraulic schematics · Maintain a preventative maintenance program · Ability to lift 50 pounds · Keep Constant inventory of fluids and materials for repairs · Ability to work in an organized manner to complete repairs or pm within an appropriate timeline · Communicate effectively, keep clean shop and equipment · Must have a valid driver’s license.

This position ensures that all mowers, utility vehicles, small engines, and other golf course equipment operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in small engine repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and small engines. Sharpen and adjust mower blades, reels, and bedknives to ensure precise cutting performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs. Ensure all equipment operates safely and meets manufacturer specifications. Order necessary parts and supplies while managing inventory. Work closely with the Superintendent and grounds crew to coordinate equipment needs. Keep the maintenance shop clean, safe, and organized. Qualifications & Skills: Experience in small engine repair, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Knowledge of golf course maintenance equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Property Description: Tidewater Golf Club boasts an 18-hole championship golf course on the beautiful coast of South Carolina. Built in 1990, Tidewater Golf Club has maintained public play despite its location within a renowned, master planned community and both have received numerous local and national awards including Golf Course of the Year as recently as 2022. Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Technician repairs all equipment associated with course maintenance department. Responsibilities also include planning and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment, training staff in safe use and proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment, and advising the Superintendent regarding major equipment failures and/or replacement needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies. Repair and adjust equipment as needed. Lubricate and service all course maintenance equipment as necessary and/or in accordance with manufacturer’s required service and lubrication intervals. Ability to properly set up reels and maintain correct angles through a combination of grinding and lapping ensuring mowing equipment maintains daily cut quality standards. Maintain service, repair and usage records on all equipment. Establish safety procedures and maintain safety records for equipment operation. Develop working relationships with vendors, manufacturers and distributors to maintain service quality. Demonstrate to staff the use of new equipment and train in safe operation and proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment. Plan and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment. Advise the Superintendent regarding major equipment failures and/or replacement needs. Perform general overhauls for equipment as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
