The Landscape Maintenance Foreman position is one of multifaceted responsibility. The position requires an energetic, enthusiastic team oriented strong communicator. A professional appearance and sense of self competence is integral to the role. A strong South Florida horticulture knowledge coupled with a complete understanding of correct maintenance practices and principles is imperative to job success. Effective client interaction and subordinate delegation skills are imperative.  Safety:  Every positions foremost priority is to enforce Blue Water Landscape Co.’s safety policies, procedures and protocols represented. Provide verbal and visual instructional training to lawn maintenance laborers to project efficient task performance while at all times observing  the company’s safety standards. Train each crew member in each task required to complete the maintenance application on every assigned project. Evaluate and report all issues pertaining to the maintenance of the site that does not fall under the crew’s responsibility. These discrepancies can be but are not limited to: malfunctioning irrigation systems, tree trimming needs, insect infestation, plant or turf failure, damage to physical structures, etc. Ensure that at the completion of an assigned maintenance application that the grounds are clean, free of yard waste and clippings. All debris is removed and placed in the proper receptacles. Cars, windows, patios, front entrances, and any other item on the physical plant not associated to the grounds maintenance have been inspected and left in same or better condition as before the crew arrived. Manage the loading and unloading of riding and hand held equipment from trailers and trucks utilizing personnel to achieve task. Commence maintenance in a neat, orderly, and safe fashion observing correct horticulture standards, practices and principles. Direct client interface on a regular basis to maximize the company’s effectiveness in meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Establish and maintain trusting client relationships to ensure maximum business opportunities and sales growth potential. Obtain and utilize provided timesheets for each assigned account and adhere to the prescribed time lines and service guideline. Deliver good report ability habits about your site observations by physically noting and deliver back to the immediate supervisor so it can be addressed. Ensure that vehicles, trailers, and all equipment are clean, properly maintained and project the required image of professionalism.

The Landscape Install Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing landscape installation projects from start to finish. Responsibilities: - Managing and overseeing all phases of landscape installation projects, including planning, execution, and final walkthroughs. - Leading and managing a team of landscape workers, training crew members on proper installation techniques, equipment operation, and safety aspects. - Overseeing the installation of trees and plant material, digging, banding and staking, installation of landscape edging, mulching, tear out and laying of new sod, tear outs of unwanted landscape material and tree relocations, etc. - Maintaining project schedules and completing landscape construction projects within deadlines and budget. - Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans. - Coordinating the equipment and materials needed for each project. - Inspect work for quality and compliance with design plans, industry standards, and client expectations. - Loading/unloading cargo, heavy equipment, and planting materials. - Safely operating equipment such as a loaders, skid steers, and excavators to perform landscape installation projects. - Oversee the use of equipment and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed - Maintain accurate records of project details, including materials used, hours worked, and expenses incurred.

Position Overview: We are looking for a full-time Lead Turf & Field Specialist to take ownership of projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for an experienced, hands-on operator with great communication skills and the ability to manage a small crew. Being coachable and a team player is essential. The right candidate will have a background in golf course and athletic field renovations/horticultural practices, with expertise in grading, general site work, and attention to detail for fine grading and finish work. This position involves traveling throughout New England and working on-site at golf courses and athletic fields. Qualifications: Strong experience in golf course and athletic field construction, including tee boxes, putting greens, soccer fields, and baseball fields. Ability to manage a small crew and ensure work is completed to high standards. Proficiency in grading, sod prep, and sod installation with a keen eye for detail. Experience working directly with sod farms and turf suppliers. Skilled in operating and maintaining turf construction equipment. Comfortable with a travel-heavy schedule, working at various sites throughout New England. Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, suppliers, and team members. Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus but not mandatory. OSHA 10 certification and Massachusetts Hoisting License (or the ability to obtain both) are required. Why Join Us?
