SUMMARY: The Horticulture and Landscape Specialist is a full-time, year-round position responsible for planning, planting, and maintaining the landscaped and lawn areas of the casino, hotel, and golf course grounds. In addition to the outdoor landscapes, they are also responsible for the interiorscapes inside the resort and hotel. The specialist applies their expertise in horticulture, botany, and landscaping to create and sustain attractive, healthy outdoor environments. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and plan landscape layouts for the Casino, Golf Course, and surrounding areas. Select appropriate plant materials for each site, considering landscape function and the cultural significance of plants to the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. Plan and manage landscape projects from conception through completion. Oversee the care of interior and exterior plantings, including planting, watering, pruning, fertilizing, and maintenance of annuals, shrubs, turf, and trees. Maintain the health and appearance of landscapes, including weed, disease, and pest control. Operate a variety of tools and machinery required for landscaping tasks. Coordinate with other professionals—such as Irrigation Technicians, Spray Technicians, and Electricians—when needed. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to landscaping and outdoor maintenance. Assess future needs and assist in preparing and managing the landscaping budget Train and supervise landscaping staff Order materials, equipment and supplies required for landscaping projects. Develop and maintain Maintenance Standards documentation outlining expected levels of care for assigned areas. Plan, install, and maintain outdoor Christmas light displays. Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

In addition, the Facility Specialist - Grounds shall follow the Authority operational policies and procedures designed to promote efficiency of operation, quality of service and a safe work environment. POSITION REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Facility Coordinator - Grounds JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs planting, fertilizing, trimming, and mowing in and around Raymond James Stadium 2. Polices facilities and grounds and collects, loads, and hauls trash and debris. 3.
