Full job description Job Summary: BrightView Landscapes is seeking a proactive and driven Tree Care Services Business Developer to manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. This role collaborates across departments—operations, finance, marketing, and proposal administration—to meet tree care services sales targets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic who thrives in both public-facing and internal team environments. Responsibilities: Sell and estimate tree care services in assigned regional territories. Prospect new business using consultative sales techniques to build long-term relationships. Partner with Landscape Maintenance Account Managers and Branch Managers to develop tree care programs for existing clients. Conduct phone prospecting, presentations, web demos, and contract negotiations independently. Network to expand tree care services in targeted accounts and verticals. Achieve sales goals and maintain accurate activity logs in Salesforce. Collaborate with internal teams to drive larger sales opportunities. Build trust-based relationships with key decision-makers. Operate with urgency in a fast-paced environment and communicate proactively. Plan daily activities, meet benchmarks, and close business consistently. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Tree Care Industry certifications (TCIA or Certified Arborist). Experience in commercial contract sales within the service industry. Proven B2B sales experience at mid to senior levels. Ability to manage multiple projects across a large territory. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred). Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills. Highly competitive, self-motivated, and results-driven. Local market knowledge and contacts preferred. Physical Requirements: Frequent use of computer, phone, and sales tools. Combination of mobile and sedentary work; must be able to remain stationary for extended periods. Regular travel to client sites and BrightView locations. Ability to walk job sites for up to 4 hours on uneven terrain. Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor work settings.
