Farrand and several close friends, Detroit Golf Club remains an exclusive private golf club to this day. Early in our existence, a six hole course turned into nine holes and later eighteen holes. By 1916, our two Donald Ross-designed courses were completed. The putting surfaces on the South Course are Bentgrass/Poa Annua mix. The South Course consists of 17 original Donald Ross push-up greens with XGD drainage. The South Course Bunkers were renovated in 2015. Currently, the club is closed and will remain closed for the 2025 and possibly the 2026 season as we complete course renovations along with facility upgrades and additions. A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a first assistant or superintendent is required. Cool season bent grass greens management experience a must.
