Position Overview The Assistant Superintendent works directly with the Director of Agronomy and Superintendent to manage all aspects of daily golf course maintenance and agronomic programs. This individual will play a key leadership role in scheduling, supervising, and training staff, executing agronomic practices, and ensuring the golf course consistently meets the highest conditioning standards. This position is ideal for a motivated, experienced Assistant, Second Assistant, or AIT seeking to further refine their management and technical skills in a collaborative and professional environment. Primary Responsibilities • Supervise, train, and direct the daily activities of the maintenance staff • Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications; maintain detailed application records • Contribute to agronomic planning, budgeting, and long-term course improvement projects • Participate in irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting, and repair • Help with employee evaluations, hiring, and development • Foster a safe, positive, and professional team culture • Maintain a sharp focus on course conditioning, detail, and playability Career Development This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant, Second Assistant, or AIT to build upon their agronomic and leadership experience while working with Champion Bermuda greens in the transition zone.
