 Working with the Director of Golf Courses, Superintendents & Assistant Superintendents, we are excited to welcome AITS & Intern opportunities at APOGEE for 2026. (Jan-August)   Apogee Club is a passion project presented by two highly successful businessmen, Mr. Michael Pascussi & Mr. Stephen Ross. Apogee is currently in the construction phase with plans to construct three, 18-hole golf courses, two short courses, a Himalayas-style putting green & two driving ranges over 1200 acres. The West Course, designed by Gil Hanse & Jim Wagner opened in late 2023 while the Fazio/Davis Course opened in late 2024 with its 55+ acre driving range, recently voted "Best Practice Facility" by Golf Digest.  The West Course, designed by Kyle Phillips is in the final stages of construction & grow in & will open later this fall. The main driving range encompasses over 55acres, has 360* of tee space, 7 acres of shortgame area. The West & South Courses are blanketed with TifTuff turf & TifEagle greens, while the North Course has Tifgrand shortcut. The Par 4 Course, which will open in early 2026, will have Citrazoy zoysia roughs, Tiftuff shortcut. Rainbird IC irrigation will be utilized on all courses along with John Deere equipment.  The West Course Turf Care Facility, (21,000ft2) along with the East Turf Care Facility (40,000ft2) are fully operational & state of the art. The club is also in the process of constructing 2 clubhouses, 50+ cottages, spa/fitness center & will also have fishing, tennis, walking trails & pickleball.   This past summer, we were fortunate to have 5 interns & 2 AITS to assist in all the needed work to be completed.   Shooting Star, a Tom Fazio designed 18-hole private facility, opened for play in 2009. The course is located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Ski Resort, one mile from Grand Teton National Park, and boasts one of the more breathtaking mountain backdrops in the world. The golf season is Mid-May through Mid-October with an elite 15 KM Nordic/Cross-Country ski course maintained from December-April.  The Seasonal Intern(s) at Shooting Star will be a hands-on and active position involved in all aspects of Golf Course Maintenance. Interns work directly under the Assistant Superintendents and Golf Course Manager. The duration of Internships can be between 3-7 months within the timeframe of April-October. Those who begin in April or May and stay through October will experience the unique opportunity of contributing with how the course emerges from lengthy snow cover, evolves to premier conditions, and then prepared for the upcoming winter. World-class bentgrass is maintained on all greens, tees, approaches, and fairways. Kentucky bluegrass roughs, and 126 acres of fine fescue native cover the remaining areas of the 256-acre facility. Examples of daily roles to be performed are chemical/fertilizer mixing & applications, daily mowing, hand watering, irrigation repairs, drainage/course improvement projects, vegetation management, tractor/implement work, course set-up, equipment maintenance, snow removal, management of small crews and more. The Quechee Club is a private 36 hole championship golf and four season private recreational community located in south central Vermont with a current membership level of 1,400 members.  The club is situated on 5,000 acres and also offers a small downhill ski area, X/C skiing, 11 tennis courts, 4 platform courts, indoor & outdoor pools, fitness center, 50 acre recreational lake, polo field, athletic fields, hiking & biking trails, etc.  The surrounding "Upper Valley" area has lots of other outdoor recreational activities along with the cultural offerings of Woodstock, Vermont and Dartmouth College, which is located just across the Connecticut River in Hanover, New Hampshire. The Club has recently gone through a major renovation in 2023 after summer flooding damaged the property.  The property features California greens with A1/A4 Bentgrass surfaces along with bentgrass tees & fairways.  In addition a new HDPE irrigation system installation was completed in 2022 with the installation of a new Rainbird I/C decoder system with double & triple row sprinklers.  During 2023, the club embarked on phase one of a Campus Master plan renovation program to update other facilities and amenities throughout the club. We are a 27 hole facility; The Spring Mill course is a William Flynn design consisting of bentgrass greens, tees and fairways. In 2001, the club converted putting greens from Penncross Bentgrass to A-1 Bentgrass. More recently in 2017, the club converted fairways/tees from 419 Bermuda Grass to Zorro Zoysia grass along with a new HDPE irrigation system and Better Billy Bunkers. In 2022, the golf course was closed for putting green reconstruction and conversation to Tif-Eagle bermuda grass. Willow Point Golf & Country Club Willow Point Golf & Country Club is in the final stages of a renovation led by world-renowned golf course architects Dana Fry and Jason Straka. The large-scale renovation modernized the greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and irrigation system. Two areas of focus during the renovation were to lower the elevation of all the greens positioned on Lake Martin to improve playability and sightlines of the lake, and update the positioning and style of bunkers to a “Bullnose” sodded rolled edge to enhance the lines and shadows across all the property.
